“Invisibility cloak” and a combat robot were presented by Ukrainian defense tech cluster Brave1
The technology of the cloak blocks the radiation of human heat and makes Ukrainian soldiers invisible to Russian thermal cameras.
“The invention is compact and light – it weighs up to 2.5 kg. It has a high level of protection against rain and sleet. Apart from that, the cloak is also non-flammable and protects against high temperatures,” Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, wrote on his Facebook page.
Fedorov also added that there is already a finished sample that has been successfully tested in the field. According to him, this military development will be useful, first of all, for Ukrainian snipers and Special Operations Forces groups performing their combat tasks.
In September, the Ukrainian defense tech cluster Brave1 presented another invention – the combat robot named “Liut” (Rage). There is already a finished experimental sample that has successfully passed field tests.
The military vehicle is armed with a tank machine gun, it has a 360° surveillance camera and armor that protects the robot against small arms and debris. It is a compact vehicle that can perform combat missions while being controlled remotely.
“Now, the team is working on improving the vehicle and preparing to scale up production. Technology and innovation are crucial to our victory. They help us gain an advantage on the battlefield and save the lives of our soldiers,” noted Fedorov.
As reported earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approved the Saker Scout drone with artificial intelligence to be used by the Ukrainian military. This is just one of many Ukrainian military innovations that are changing modern warfare amidst Russia’s full-scale invasion.
