Attack against religion & culture

«…damage to cultural property belonging to any people whatsoever means damage to the cultural heritage of all mankind, since each people makes its contribution to the culture of the world»

Introduction to Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict. 14.05.1954

Russian troops have committed more than 464 war crimes against cultural heritage sites in Ukraine.

This war was started not only to kill Ukrainians — Russia also set out to destroy Ukraine’s history, culture, and pride in their ancestors. Russians are destroying Ukraine’s museums, galleries, and churches to wipe out the Ukrainian nation and its unique, proud culture.
