Russia is trying to resume the offensive on Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and Mariupol. They continue to draw forces to the border of Ukraine and Belarus – General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian missiles and white phosphorus munitions (banned by international law) were used against towns in Luhansk region overnight, killing 4 people (2 were children), injuring 6. During the past 24 hrs, 31 buildings in the region have been damaged or completely destroyed. 35 settlements remain without electricity. 128 children have died since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. 172 children have been injured, as reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.


The total combat losses of the Russian invaders from 24.02 to 24.03 were approximately: 15,800 troops, 530 tanks, 1597 armored vehicles, 280 artillery systems, 82 rocket systems, 47 anti-air systems, 101 aircraft, 124 helicopters, 1033 military cars, 4 military boats, 72 fuel tanks, 42 tactical UAVs. – General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine


At night, the Russian occupiers fired at the centre of Kharkiv with powerful long-range Kalibr missiles, from ships in the Black Sea. 44 shellings from artillery, tanks, mortars, etc. were recorded in Kharkiv region today, as well as 140 launches from rocket systems. – Head of Kharkiv Region Administration.


Russian soldiers are visiting schools in Melitopol and trying to force teachers to start teaching in Russian, with an unclear [likely propagandist] teaching plan. – Melitopol mayor Ivan Fedorov.


The Russian occupiers continue to forcibly deport thousands of Mariupol residents to Russia. About 15 thousand city residents were deported illegally, as reported by the Mariupol City Council.


At least 30 people might be under the rubble of one of the buildings in Izium due to Russian artillery fire. It is impossible to dismantle the ruins at the moment due to constant shelling and lack of equipment. – Izium City Council


237 tons of humanitarian aid from the Ministry of Social Policy arrived in Donetsk region today. The Donetsk Regional Military Administration has received the cargo and has already started handing out humanitarian aid to local communities.


UNICEF: One month of war in Ukraine has led to the displacement of 4.3 million children – more than half of the country’s estimated 7.5 million child population. This includes more than 1.8 million children who have crossed into neighbouring countries as refugees and 2.5 million who are now internally displaced inside Ukraine.


Russian aggression has deprived hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians of stable sources of water (200,000 people in Donetsk region alone). This includes residents of Mariupol, Mykolayiv, Kharkiv, Okhtyrka, Izyum, Makarov, Pologi, Vasylivka, Orikhiv, Huliaipil, Chernihiv, Trostyanets and many other settlements. – Commissioner for Human Rights of the Parliament of Ukraine


During the 11th extraordinary special session of the UN General Assembly on Ukraine, 140 states voted in support of the resolution “Humanitarian consequences of aggression against Ukraine”, which clearly indicates Russian aggression as the root cause of the humanitarian catastrophe and focuses on urgent response efforts.


Russian occupiers are starting to resort to kidnapping children. The State Border Guard Service reports cases of Russian soldiers using kids in Kharkiv region to blackmail their parents.

According to the Kyiv military administration, since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion on February 24, 75 civilians have been killed in the capital, including 4 children. 307 civilians and 16 children were injured.


The casualties among civilians from February 24, 2022, when Russia started the war against Ukraine, to 24:00 on March 23, 2022 amounted to 2,685 civilians including 1,035 dead – Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

Russian invaders broke into Kateryna Gandziuk’s apartment in occupied Kherson and robbed it. Viktor Gandziuk, Kateryna’s father, told journalists about it.

About 12 Russian servicemen broke into the apartment, accompanied by a local resident. They stayed inside for about 2-3 hours and did not let anyone in.


Kyiv Region Police informs:
In Kalynivka, Fastiv district, Kyiv region, as a result of Russian artillery shelling, three people were killed and three were injured.
The wreckage of the shell hit one of the objects of civilian infrastructure.

Also in the Fastiv region, Russian troops continue attacks on the village of Yasnohorodka.

The shelling of New and Old Petrivtsi continues in Vyshgorod district, as a result of which the hotel complex is damaged. According to preliminary information, there are no victims.

Fighting continues in the Bucha district. Police are recording the consequences of the occupier’s artillery strikes.


“At the Chornobayev airfield near Kherson, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a devastating blow to Russian troops for the tenth time,” said Oleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine.
