On May 16, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 55 Russian attacks in the Bakhmut, Lyman, Avdiivka, and Marinka axes. In addition, Ukrainian missile troops and gunners hit 3 Russian electronic warfare stations, 4 enemy ammunition depots, and a Russian fuel and lubricants warehouse. In the last 24 hours, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out 14 strikes on locations with Russian troops and military equipment and 4 strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems. On May 16, Russian troops fired missiles at Mykolaiv. Due to an attack, a shopping center and a car dealership were partially destroyed. Local shops, a public transport stop, and an object of industrial infrastructure were damaged. Also, 6 multi-storey buildings were damaged in the city. On February 14, 2024, Russia launched a missile strike at the maternity ward and a five-story residential building in Selydove, the Donetsk region. Due to an attack, 3 people were killed, including a child and a pregnant woman, and another 12 were injured.
