The German defense ministry has announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth €700 million. It will include two Patriot launchers, 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, as well as 25 Leopard 1 A5 main battle tanks and five Bergepanzer 2 from industrial stocks or industrial refurbishment. Among the new military aid package’s capabilities are also 20,000 rounds of artillery ammunition and 5,000 rounds of 155mm smoke ammunition, a LUNA drone system, and a mine interdiction package. – CNN
