At night on April 8, Ukrainian defenders shot down 17 out of 24 Shahed-136/131 drones and one guided air missile Kh-59 used by Russian troops to attack the Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi, and Zhytomyr regions. – Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine


Due to Russian shellings of Ukrainian energy facilities, 398 settlements in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions remain without electricity. – National power company “Ukrenergo”


In the last 24 hours, Russian troops attacked the Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions. On May 2, 2024, Russia hit the “Nova Poshta” postal terminal in Odesa with missiles. Approximately 904 shipments worth ₴3 million were destroyed. The employees hid in the bomb shelter on time and were not harmed.
