The UN continues to collect data on victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. As of April 7, 1,563 deaths and 2,213 injuries of Ukrainian civilians have been accurately recorded. The real figures could be many times higher – Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.


The main efforts of the occupiers are focused on preparing for an offensive operation in eastern Ukraine, the goal of which is to establish full control over the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions – General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.


The U.S. Senate unanimously passed legislation allowing President Joe Biden to use the lend-lease program to expedite the shipment of military equipment and other supplies to Ukraine amid the Russian invasion. The last time it was used was during World War II.


After the horrific images from Bucha with the brutal killing of civilians, it is hard to deny that Russian troops are committing genocide in Ukraine. The purpose of this invasion is the extermination of the Ukrainian nation – President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda


Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the Russian National Defense Control Center, admitted that Russian troops killed more than 90 people in civilian clothes near Mariupol. The Russian general himself called them “disguised fighters,” but did not provide any evidence of this. –  National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.


Russian occupation troops bombed the railway station in Mykolaiv, it is no longer operating [and cannot be used for evacuation] the mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Senkevych.


The Russian military forcibly removed from Mariupol the staff and patients of Matsuk City Hospital No. 4. They are now partially on Russian territory and partially in the temporarily Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine – Mariupol City Council.


Total combat losses of Russian aggressors in Ukraine from February 24 to April 07 (approximate): 18900 servicemen; 698 tanks; 1891 APCs; 332 artillery systems; 108 MLRS; 150 aircraft; 135 helicopters; 1358 military vehicles; 55 air defense vehicles; 7 military boats; 76 fuel tanks; 96 tactical UAVs; 25 units of special equipment; 4 mobile SRBM systems – General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine


In Borodyanka, Kyiv region, Russian planes fired rockets at high-rise buildings. Later, the occupiers opened targeted fire on rescuers who were trying to remove the rubble. As a result, all the civilians under the rubble were killed –Ukrainian Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky.


Ukraine will definitely be able to feed itself, but there is a threat that a Russian invasion could cause a food crisis worldwide [due to lowered export volumes] – Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal.


Four Russian cruise missiles were shot down over Sumy and Zaporizhzhya regions. In Kherson Region, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a Russian artillery unit that was preparing to shell residential areas – Ukrainian Navy Command.


90% of the residents of Bucha who died during the Russian occupiers’ takeover of the city were targeted with small firearms [indicating executions and not military shootouts] – Bucha Mayor Anatoliy Fedoruk.


Russian soldiers discussed their atrocities against civilians in Bucha over the radio, some radio traffic was intercepted by the German Federal Intelligence Service BND. According to these reports, the mass executions and torture of civilians were part of the Russian occupation strategy – Der Spiegel.


Greece will ask the International Court of Justice in The Hague to investigate Russian war crimes in Mariupol. Also, the country’s leadership calls on NATO to protect the city of Odesa from destruction – Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias.


In the Donetsk region, Russian aggressors have been shelling the front line with heavy artillery. Fighting has been taking place in the cities of Vugledari and Mariinka. More than 400 civilians have been killed in the Kyiv region so far. About 200 people are reported missing in Borodyanka. – Anton Gerashchenko, Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs


The Russian occupiers have been shelling Kharkiv and forcibly deporting the population of Mariupol to the temporarily occupied districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. – Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, Spokesman of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine


The United States has imposed new sanctions on three Russian airlines – Aeroflot, Azur Air, and UTair. The reason was the violation by the Russian side of the export control rules. – US Department of Commerce


The UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution on the temporary suspension of Russia in the UN Human Rights Council. The reason is the military aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.- Dmytro Kuleba, Head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs


More than 500 thousand internally displaced citizens have been registered in Ukraine as of today. [the number of non-registered people is estimated in millions] – Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine


The Montenegrin Foreign Ministry has expelled four more Russian diplomats. The reason is the violation of diplomatic norms by Russian representatives. – Reuters


Russian aggressors have shelled the Dnipropetrovsk region three times today. 4 citizens have died, 7 have been injured and 2 have disappeared. As a result of artillery shellings in Kharkiv and the region, 14 people have been wounded and 1 woman has died.
