As a result of shelling in Mykolaiv 14 military and 16 civilians are wounded. Two soldiers and one civilian were killed — the Mykolaiv mayor Oleksandr Senkevych. He said that the troops of the Russian Federation were shooting at the city from Hurricane multiple launch rocket systems.

Hundreds of thousands of consumers were left without gas supply due to hostilities in six regions of Ukraine — the Operator of the Gas Transmission System of Ukraine. The company shut down 16 gas distribution stations in Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions and due to significant damage and active hostilities, it is currently impossible to restore gas supply to some stations.

The Russian troops are shelling buildings, cars, killing the civilians in Bucha, as reported by the town council.


At least three persons are injured as a result of a missile strike against the airfield in Starokostiantyniv (Khemlnytski region).


The shelling of Mykolaiv city by Russian forces on March 5th led to at least 7 major fires erupting in the city (4 of them – in residential homes). 34 hospitals were hit or damaged by Russian fire so far. Some buildings have been destroyed completely, others are cut off from water, heating or electricity. Many hospitals will not be able to operate at all. This is brutal aggression against civilians and a violation of the Geneva Convention. – Ukrainian Minister of Health.


Russia is targeting populated areas in multiple locations (incl. Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Mariupol cities) in an effort to break Ukrainian morale. These tactics were previously used by Russian forces in Syria and Chechnya, employing both ground and air munitions. – UK Defence Intelligence.


Former UK Royal Marines have arrived in Ukraine to join the Foreign Legion of Territorial Defence, reports Fox News. Since the start of the conflict, thousands of foreign combat veterans have applied to defend the country from Russian aggression.


Vinnytsia was hit by eight Russian missiles strikes. The sky over Ukraine needs to be closed urgently. – President Zelensky.


The occupiers shelled Kharkiv Institute, where the Neutron Source nuclear facility is located. In the active zone of the facility 37 nuclear fuel cells were loaded.

About 400 people from Volnovakha travelling to Volyn region came under Russian fire near Vinnytsia. Safe travel organized by railroad was disrupted. Evacuated Ukrainians will travel to Volyn in groups – Volyn Regional Administration.


A Russian cruise missile was shot down near the Okhmatdit Children’s Specialized Hospital in Kyiv, reports the hospital’s press service. Wounded children are still in need of transfer to the hospital but it is impossible due to Russian shelling. Doctors are still operating and helping kids despite Russian airstrikes.


Near Kyiv, Russian occupiers opened fire on British journalists from Sky News, shooting to kill.

Russian occupiers opened fire on civilians during a pro-Ukrainian rally in Nova Kakhovka. One person is injured, but the protestors refuse to leave.


Five people were killed in a shelling of a checkpoint in the village of Yasnohorodka, Fastiv district (Kyiv region) – Ministry of Internal Affairs.


A Russian missile strike hit a gas line in Irpin city (Kyiv region), cutting off gas and heat to local residents.


The Russian ministry of defence announced that it’s preparing to shell Ukrainian defence industrial enterprises, as reported by the Russian state media RIA Novosti.


Eight civilians were killed in the evacuation of the town of Irpin, its mayor reported. He also refuted reports that the town is completely occupied by russians.


A 500 kg airbomb dropped by russian invaders in the Zhytomyr region was neutralized by rescue services. – State Emergency Service of Ukraine.


Kharkiv TV tower that was shelled by the russians is intact. Only one cable was damaged and will be fixed, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said live on the national TV marathon.


The staff of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant keeps working for 11th day without a possibility to change shifts or go back to their families in the town of Slavutych-Mayor of Slavutych Yuriy Fomichev.
