Head of Energoatom national company: each of the 6 reactors of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant is fully loaded with nuclear fuel. A missile strike into one of them would lead to a nuclear disaster. The staff of the NPP is cooling down the reactors and transferring them into a safe state to avoid the worst case scenarios. Even if the NPP is turned off fully, the Ukrainian electrical grid will still remain balanced. Avoiding nuclear disaster remains priority #1, but Ukraine needs the help of international partners to ensure this.

The bridge connecting the banks of the Kuchurhan river, was blown up to prevent enemy invasion from the territory not controlled by the government of Moldova.
