The attack of Kherson started.
After the fire damage, Armed Forces of the Russian Federation units took Kherson Airport and established themselves in the North-Western part of the town, having occupied Heolohiv Cemetery.
The attack develops further in Mykolaivske Shose’s direction and the ring near cold storage facilities.

Ukrainian Airforce of Armed Forces of Ukraine Command Informs:

During the occupiers’ raid over Vasylkiv and Brovary, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fighters stopped and brought down two Russian aircraft; three more aircraft were brought down by air defense complex C 300. On February 28, five occupiers’ planes were brought down, Su-30 and Su-35.

On February 28, five occupier’s fighters were brought down; according to the preliminary reports, these are SU-30 and SU-35.
Ukrainian antiaircraft gunners brought down a cruise missile and one helicopter using antiaircraft gunners Buk-М1.
Ukrainian Forces, Ministry’s of Defense of Ukraine attacks:

• the attack aircrafts Su-25 during the 24 hours were bombing the columns of armored fighting vehicles in Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions;
• bombers of Ukrainian The Sukhoi Su-24 launched four strikes against a tank and mechanized columns in Chernihiv Region and near Berdiansk;

Bayraktars destroyed a tank and two Buk missile systems. Confirmed.

The enemy’s missiles hit the five-storey building of a dormitory in Vasylkiv. Two persons are dead, three — injured, as reported by the mayor of the town Nataliia Balasynovych.

The Russian occupation troops have shelled the centre of Kharkiv city, in particular, a huge explosion took place on the Freedom Square (Ploshcha Svobody) next to the building of the regional state administration.

This morning, on March 1st, the Russian military personnel carried out a missile strike against the military base in Loshchynivka village in Odesa region/oblast. It was reported by the mayor of Izmail city Andrii Abramchenko and by the head of the Public council at Odesa regional state administration Serhii Bratchuk. Andrii Abramchenko mentioned that the strike was carried out against the radar locator station. There is no confirmed information about the casualties or the injured. However, the mayor asked the city inhabitants to stay in their houses so far, until the circumstances are fully clarified.

The data is to be confirmed. The calculation is complicated because of the high intensity of the combat actions.

The Kirovohrad regional state administration reports, that the occupants have shelled the airdrome of Kanatovo.

The head of Kharkiv regional state administration Oleh Syniehubov informed that in the morning of March 1st the Russians have shelled Kharkiv, using the multiple rocket launchers “Grad” and the cruising missiles.

Upon the preliminary information of the State Emergency Service, 6 people were injured, among them — 1 child. The number of the casualties is to be confirmed.

The Ukrainian defenders shot down two helicopters of the Russian occupants near Kyiv.

The advisor of the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podoliak: “Russia is extensively shelling the centres of the cities, carrying out the missile and artillery strikes against the residential blocks and government agencies. The aim of the Russian Federation is clear – widespread turmoil, casualties among the civil population, destroying the infrastructure. Ukraine is fighting back with dignity”.

At least 10 persons died, more than 20 injured, roughly 10 persons are saved from under the debris by the rescuers and the volunteers. The clearing of the debris is going on.

The stairwell and partially corridors on all of the floors are destroyed.

Kharkiv Regional Military Administration updated the information on bombing of the Administration building. There were two hits. Most of the building, including the mayor’s office, was destroyed (the Mayor was away). The number of dead and injured people is still under clarification. At the time of the explosions, personnel of Territorial Defense Forces, soldiers and volunteers were in the building.

The Russian occupiers fired on Chernihiv from “Grad” multiple rocket launcher system, informed Viacheslav Chaus, the Head of Chernihiv Regional State Administration.

The Kyiv TV tower came under attack (preliminary info – it was hit by 2 Russian missile strikes), 5 civilians were killed during the attack, 5 more – wounded. The Kyiv city administration is working to renew the tower’s communication.

In Melitopol as a result of hostilities of the Russian troops 31 apartment houses were destroyed — the mayor Ivan Fedoriv. According to him, starting tomorrow, the city will start providing social assistance to two hundred bedridden people with disabilities.

Explosions in several districts of Kyiv — Rusanovka, Vyshneve, Kurenivka, Boiarka and Zhuliany – State Special Communications Service.

Kharkiv was fired from the territory of the Russian Federation from a strategic bomber-missile carrier Tu-22M3, according to the Air Force Command. Without crossing the state border, the enemy used high-precision weapons in residential areas – air-to-surface missiles. The bomber fired about 16 missiles at the city.

Russia has launched a missile strike on the towns of Vasylkiv, Bila Tserkva and the village of Kalynivka in the Kyiv region. A three-story dormitory and two residential buildings were destroyed. In Bila Tserkva, people may be under the rubble of the dormitory, two have already been rescued by rescuers.
