In the St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Cathedral in Kyiv, a farewell ceremony was held for the senior lieutenant, commander of the sniper special forces reconnaissance group of “Azov”, Ihor Lyndiuk, callsign “Єгерь” (“The Hunter”). On March 23, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the city of Mariupol, he was mortally injured. The body was identified only months later, which made it possible to carry out the burial. Ihor Lyndiuk was awarded the Order “For Courage” of III degree posthumously. January 31, 2023.

Yurii Moroz, a soldier of the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine, died in the Donetsk region on April 16, 2023. On April 24, a farewell ceremony for Ukrainian defenders was held on Independence Square in Kyiv: this tradition appeared during the Revolution of Dignity, in which Yurii was an active participant. Fellow soldiers, close friends, and acquaintances came to say goodbye to Yurii. The soldier was buried in Borova, the Kyiv region.

Yurii Moroz voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2014, fought in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, participated in the Battle at Svitlodarsk Arc, and was demobilized in 2015. The fighter was fascinated by the history of Ukraine, organized historical reconstructions and camps for children and youth, studied theology at the theological seminary, and participated in the “Language Maidan” in 2012, as well as in the Revolution of Dignity in 2014.
