The occupiers would not let a pregnant woman see her doctors in the Mykolaiv region. An obstetrician helped the nurse deliver the baby through a video call.

When a resident of Kandybine village was about to give birth, the Russians would not allow her to go to the maternity hospital or let the doctor in to see her. Tetiana Pavlova, a village nurse, came to the rescue. She contacted an obgyn from Mykolayiv via video call and delivered the baby with his advice. The newborn boy was named Matvii.
