Seven-year-old schoolgirl Varya sold flowers and drawings to buy bulletproof vests for the Ukrainian military

A girl from Kropyvnytskyi had been saving money for a cell phone for several years. When the war broke out, she decided to give away her savings. To raise the required amount, Varya started selling flowers. However, there were many more willing buyers than bouquets, so they offered to buy drawings rather than real flowers.

One of the volunteers who sold gadgets before the war was moved by Varya’s story and presented her with her dream phone. Meanwhile, the schoolgirl passes on the money she has earned to volunteers and continues to help them with her mother. Ukrainians have united on social media to transfer money to Varya for bulletproof vests.
