Roman Kalgin quit his IT job and is now helping temporarily displaced people get to the border
Roman uses his car to transport temporary migrants from Lviv to the Polish border for free. He left his job in IT, where he worked until the full-scale Russian invasion.
“I was asked to pick a woman up from the train station. I came and saw what was happening – words cannot describe how awful it was there. I had never seen anything like it in my life. People were sitting with small kids, sleeping on the floor for the second day in a row. I couldn’t just stand by and decided to take people in my car and drive to the nearest border.”
Roman alone has already evacuated around 80 people.
