Olympic champion Oleh Verniaiev joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Donetsk native, sports gymnast Oleh Verniaiev lives in the Kyiv region. During his career, the 28-year-old man managed to become an Olympic champion and claim silver at the 2016 Olympic Games. But now, together with other defenders, he will be fighting for Ukraine’s freedom and territorial integrity. On his social media pages, he is advocating for banning athletes of the occupying country from international competitions.
