Film director Oleg Sentsov joined the ranks of the territorial defense forces
Oleg Sentsov had been illegally imprisoned by Russia since 2014. A case was fabricated against him due to his activism in occupied Crimea. As the most famous Ukrainian political prisoner, Sentsov embodied the human struggle against the system.
Released in 2019 in a prisoner exchange, the director resumed work on his second feature film, the crime drama “Rhino,” about the criminal underworld of the 90s. A week before the full-scale invasion, the film was released in Ukrainian cinemas. From the first days of the war, Oleg joined territorial defense forces to protect Kyiv. Meanwhile, viewers in Germany, France, and Italy can soon see “Rhino” on the big screen.
