A schoolgirl donated 120,000 hryvnias to the Ukrainian defenders
10-year-old Mariika from Uman, the Cherkasy region, gave 120,000 hryvnias ($2,700) for the needs of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Mariika collected that money for several years, but the girl’s dreams and values changed after the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Without hesitation, the girl decided to donate all her savings to the needs of the Ukrainian defenders.
“Mariika was inspired by the example of her parents, who constantly try to help the Ukrainian military,” commented the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The money donated by Mariika was used to purchase the SUV. This vehicle has already been sent to the soldiers of the State Border Service of Ukraine, who perform combat missions. This vehicle will help servicemen defend Ukraine against Russia’s invasion.
“We thank Mariika, her parents, and everyone who helps for their support. Together we will win,” stated the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
