The Russians fired missiles at the Darnytsia Train Repair Plant in Kyiv
“Ukrzaliznytsia” company (Ukrainian Railways, a state-owned joint-stock company of rail transport) reported that four missiles hit the Darnytsia Train Repair Plant on the left bank of Kyiv. One of the railway workers was injured. He received medical treatment.
General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that Russian troops had released five X-22 cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea in the direction of Kyiv. The Air Forces destroyed one missile. The company denied the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation that “T-72 tanks and other armored vehicles delivered by Eastern European countries were the goals”. As they say in “Ukrzaliznytsia,” there is no military equipment on the plant’s territory.
Several departments of the factory couldn’t be repaired. For 87 years, the plant fixed and manufactured freight cars, which transported exclusively civilian products: coal, gravel, ore, etc. In 2022, the plant owners planned to master the production of grain trucks, which are necessary for the transportation of the Ukrainian harvest.
