Russian troops opened fire on civilians during the evacuation from Irpin, a suburb of Kyiv

The Russians fired, likely from 122-calibre mortars, at innocent people. Civilians, volunteers and rescuers hid under the rubble of a bombed-out bridge to protect themselves from the shelling.
The whole family of Serhiy Perebyinis also died on this day. His wife, Tatiana, eighteen-year-old Nikita, and nine-year-old Alice came under mortar fire during the evacuation. Serhiy learned about the tragedy from the news.

Even the pets of the Perebyinis family did not escape the bloody massacre in Irpin. They had two dogs: one died, a foreign journalist rescued the other. The dog lost its hind paw.
Serhiy Perebyinis, who is left alone, promises to do everything possible to ensure those who murdered his wife and children pay for what they have done.

“I recognized my children by their clothes, belongings, suitcases, and carrier, which was with our two dogs. I called friends in Kyiv, people who were going to the hospital. I told them to look for my wife in the hospital. But the children were there. They are dead.”

“I will ask for help from those organizations that investigate war crimes. It is an actual crime against people. This will be my mission.” said Serhiy Perebyinis, who lost his entire family as they tried to evacuate from Irpin.
