Russia attacked a residential area in Kharkiv with glide munitions
On March 27, Russian troops shelled residential areas in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. According to preliminary information from General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine, the universal interspecific glide munitions (UMPB D-30, caliber 30 cm) were used for the first time to target the city. The attack was carried out using aviation.
It is known about one killed victim. 19 more people were injured, including four children, reported Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
Due to the Russian attack, a number of multi-story buildings, medical institutions, cars, a school, a kindergarten, and other objects of civil infrastructure were damaged.
“Bolstering Ukraine’s air defense and expediting the delivery of F-16s to Ukraine are vital tasks. There are no rational explanations for why Patriots, which are plentiful around the world, are still not covering the skies of Kharkiv and other cities and communities under attack by Russian terrorists. Every day, we work to provide better protection for our people and Ukraine,” commented President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on another Russian terrorist act.
Under the procedural guidance of the Shevchenkivskyi district Prosecutor’s Office in Kharkiv, a pre-trial investigation was started on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
