Russia attacks Dnipro with missiles and drones on July 3
On July 3, Russia attacked Dnipro with missiles and drones. Civilian infrastructure was damaged, including shopping center, shops, and hospitals located near the epicenter of the explosion. The facades and windows of three kindergartens and three schools were also damaged.
According to Serhii Lysak, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration аs of 7 p.m. Kyiv time, 5 people were killed and 53 others were injured, four of them in critical condition.
Update: As of July 4, a woman died in the hospital from severe injuries she received due to yesterday’s Russian attack on Dnipro. The number of killed victims has increased to six. 55 more people were injured, reported the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Update: As of July 5, one more woman died in the hospital from received wounds. The number of dead victims has increased to eight people, informed Serhii Lysak, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
In Dnipro, utility workers and employees of the damaged facilities continue to repair the aftermath of the morning shelling. Workers at the affected shopping center are removing destroyed property from the building and cleaning up glass shards.
“There is only one way to stop all of this: more air defense systems, more long-range strikes on the Russian terrorists’ locations and air bases. We are actively talking about all this with partners at all levels,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in his address.
In addition to the morning attack, Russia continued to hit cities in the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones and artillery: Nikopol, Pokrovska, Marhanetska, and Myrivska communities.
The infrastructure was damaged. Four private houses, 5 farm buildings, a student dormitory, a truck, and a gas pipeline were destroyed.
There were no casualties reported from those communities.
