Russia attacked Poltava with two ballistic missiles
On September 3, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Poltava. The enemy targeted the territory of an educational institution and a nearby hospital. One of the buildings of the Institute of Communications was partially destroyed.
As of 4 pm Kyiv time, at least 47 people were killed and 206 more were injured, Olena Zelenska, First Lady of Ukraine, reported. People have been trapped under the rubble.
According to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Russian troops attacked Poltava with two ballistic missiles. The time interval between the air raid alert and the missile strikes was so short that there was almost no time for people to reach the shelter.
“The Russian scum will surely pay for this strike. We continue to urge everyone in the world who has the power to stop this terror: Ukraine needs air defense systems and missiles now, not sitting in storage. Long-range strikes that can protect us from Russian terror are needed now, not later. Every day of delay, unfortunately, means more lost lives,” commented President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on the Russian terror act.
