On April 19, Russian troops targeted the Dnipropetrovsk region with missiles. Ukrainian forces destroyed nine enemy targets in the area; at the same time, hits were recorded on civilian infrastructure, and there were casualties among civilians.

As of 16:15 a.m., Kyiv time, seven people were killed in the region, including two children. At least, 34 citizens were injured, including one child. The victims have shrapnel wounds, fractures, hematomas, as well as cut wounds, reported the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

In Dnipro, a five-story residential building was partially destroyed, and two more infrastructure facilities, including a railway station, were affected. About three dozen private houses were damaged in Synelnykove, and four more suffered destruction. The administration building in Pavlohrad and an infrastructure object in Kryvyi Rih were also affected by Russian missile attacks.

“The situation is extremely difficult because both air defense systems and missiles are in short supply. The enemy intensively tries to attack with various weapons and carries out combined attacks. To cover all our facilities, we need many such air defense stations, many missiles for them, which, unfortunately, we cannot use yet,” stated Illia Yevlash, Spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In total, on April 19, Russia attacked different regions of Ukraine with 14 Shahed-136/131 drones (all were shot down), two cruise missiles Kh-101/Kh-555 (all were shot down), 12 air missiles Kh-59/Kh-69 (11 out of 12 were destroyed), six cruise missiles Kh-22 (two out of six were destroyed), as well as two cruise missiles «Iskander-K».

In addition, Ukrainian forces shot down a Russian bomber, Tu-22M3, a carrier of cruise missile Kh-22, for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
