“The air raid alarm signal was activated a few seconds before the first explosions, so students and teachers did not have time to go down to the shelter quickly. Fortunately, the debris fell into the neighboring premises, where there were no people,” stated Rostyslav Karandieiev, Temporary Acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
According to Karandieiev, the scale of the destruction will be assessed as soon as possible to begin further emergency work on the destroyed objects.
In total, due to the Russian missile attack on Kyiv, four city districts were affected: Pecherskyi, Solomianskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Darnytskyi. In particular, two private houses were damaged in the Solomianskyi district. In the Darnytskyi district, debris from a downed missile fell on the territory of a private building. Missile fragments were also found in the forest area in the Holosiivskyi district.
