A Russian soldier raped a 31-year-old woman from the Kharkiv region in a room of a local school
The world found out about this crime through the story of an employee of the international human rights organization Human Rights Watch.
Olga (not her real name), a 31-year-old resident of the village of Mala Rohan in the Kharkiv region, hid at a local school with relatives and a five-year-old daughter.
On March 13, the Russian military went there. One of them took Olga to the next room, forced her to have oral sex, and raped her. The soldier threatened to kill Olga’s daughter and said she reminded him of his classmate.
The soldier raped the woman several times. He also slashed her face with a knife and cut strands of hair. The Russian beat Olga with a book and repeatedly slapped her face.
“Twice he shot at the ceiling and said it for her motivation,” the victim told Human Rights Watch.
The woman showed human rights activists photos of cuts and bruises on her neck and face.
When the soldier left, the woman and her family walked to Kharkiv, where she received medical help.
