The Russian military launched an airstrike on a maternity ward in Mariupol

Russian occupation forces dropped several bombs on an orphanage and a maternity hospital. The destruction was enormous. The building of the medical institution where children were treated recently was destroyed.

One of the pregnant women who was in the maternity hospital when it was hit by a Russian airstrike died along with her unborn child. The explosion shattered her pelvis and tore off her thigh. Doctors performed a cesarean section, but the child “showed no signs of life.” After that, doctors tried to resuscitate the woman for half an hour but could not save her.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed that the bombing of the maternity hospital in Mariupol was a conscious and purposeful decision by the Russian army.
