During a combat mission, an American-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicle was hit in the turret by a Russian rocket and caught fire. However, the outstanding endurance of the vehicle was proven in action: each Ukrainian defender inside survived the direct hit.

The crew evacuated successfully, and the driver moved the armored vehicle to a safe position and extinguished the fire. One of the soldiers suffered a mild concussion.

Afterward, the damaged Bradley was sent for repairs, and the crew from the 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continued to defend the country.

Hanna Maliar, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine at the time, posted the story of the Bradley crew on June 15, 2023. “There is no equipment that cannot be destroyed, but there is equipment that saves lives,” she added.
